Another two foreigners who really loves Philippine music, Pakistani rocker Dio Smith and American Daniel Herrington advance to the next round of the country’s most popular singing competition for foreigners, “I Love OPM.” During the Sunday’s performance of the top-rating show Dio Smith performed Bamboo’s “Hallelujah.”

American aspiring singer Daniel Herrington on the the other hand won the hearts of the judges with his rendition of James Reid’s “No Erase.” Veteran singer and social media star Toni Gonzaga, one of the show’s judges told Herrington that she felt goosebumps, during the rendition of the American contestant.
Toni Gonzaga also praised Dio Smith for his energetic performance during the Sunday’s edition of the show. She was quoted as saying “Ang galing mo! Binuhay mo ang Pinoy rock. Buhay na buhay! Ramdam na ramdam namin, simula nung tumayo ka sa stage, umawit ka, ‘yung diction, ‘yung tono, lahat flawless.”

Judge Lani Misaluch on her part praised Dio Smith in which she stated “Ikaw ay tunay na rakista, tunay na performer. Panalo ka talaga,” she said. “Parang ang feeling ko habang kumakanta ka, parang ang tagal-tagal mo nang kumakanta ng Tagalog,” Misalucha added.
Dio Smith and Daniel Herrington moved on to the next round of the competition after getting an average score of 96.67 and 93.67 points, respectively. The top rating show “I Love OPM” is hosted by Anne Curtis and Eric Nicolas, the show airs Saturdays after “Maalaala Mo Kaya” and Sundays after “Rated K.”
