US Submarine Charlotte (SSN-766) Docks at Subic Bay for Indo-Asia-Pacific Deployment

The United States of America (USA) Navy is considered as one of the strongest navy in the world and one of its assets, the USS Charlotte (SSN-766), arrived in the Philippines on Wednesday morning at the world-renowned Subic Bay for a port visit as part of its Indo-Asia-Pacific deployment.

The USS-766, a Los-Angeles-class submarine was docked at the Alava Pier at about 7:00 AM according to seaport department of the Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA).

Based upon the website of the Pacific Submarine Force (Subpac), the USS Charlotte is on a six-month deployment to the United States 7th Fleet area of operations. The submarine will conduct important missions to strengthen theater security with strong partners throughout the region.

The USS Charlotte is considered as on of the most advanced fast-attack submarine in the world, which measures 360 feet long and displaces more than 9,600 tons when submerged, it has about 150 crew members.

SBMA officials did not say until when the submarine will stay in Subic Bay.
