Presidential candidate, Mayor Rodrigo Duterte who was considered as one of the few Local Government Unit (LGUs) leaders who went to ground zero of typhoon Yolanda in Tacloban City asks the one of the administration’s leader, Mar Roxas about the Yolanda funds.

During the time when the super typhoon Yolanda hits Tacloban City, Mar Roxas claimed on various reports that he was there before and after Yolanda hit the city. Mayor Duterte on his part who was credited by the people of Tacloban as one of the few leaders who really cared for them during the aftermath, asks former Interior Secretary Mar Roxas about the controversial funds donated to the country.

Mayor Duterte asked his rival about the billions of dollars donated to the supposed victims, saying that the government is still mum on how they spent the Yolanda funds.

The 70-year-old Mayor told his supporters in Dagupan City during his campaign sortie in Pangasinan that the government are still silent on the issue.

He was quoted as saying “They are silent about it. Gusto ko tanungin si Mar. Billion ang dumating sa bansa nung Yolanda, saan ang pera (I would like to ask Mar. Where are the billions of funds intended for “Yolanda” victims?)” Duterte said during a speech at the Lyceum Northwestern University here on Wednesday afternoon.
