Mayor Rodrigo Duterte and his running mate sen. Alan Peter Cayetano visited the vote-rich province of Pangasinan on Wednesday, March 3, 2016. Mayor Rodrigo Duterte and Sen. Cayetano arrived at the Lingayen Airport at around 11:26 AM via chopper with thousands of their volunteer supporters came out to greet the next president of the Republic of the Philippines.
The Duterte-Cayetano tandem campaign in Pangasinan will be highlighted by a public rally and a courtesy call to Lingayen Archbishop Socrates Villegas.
Early in the afternoon, the Duterte-Cayetano tandem paid a courtesy call to Pangasinan Governor Amado Espino Jr., at the Provincial Capitol while the public rally attended by thousands of supporters was held at the Plaza de Lingayen followed by a motorcade to Binmaley town.
The 70-year-old presidential candidate Mayor Duterte and his running mate Sen. Cayetano meets with the press at the Lyceum Northwestern University (LNU) and after that held a rally attended by LNU students and residents.
The Duterte-Cayetano tandem also announced that they will visit Vigan City, Ilocos Sur on Thursday. Before Mayor Duterte visited Pangasinan, he had visited Ilocos Norte where he was warmly welcomed by thousands of Ilocanos who were known for its “Solid North” vote.
