Actor DJ Durano, the boyfriend of the late director Wenn Deramas finally speaks up after the untimely death of the award-winning box office director. The actor stated during an interview that there is no DJ Durano without Direk Wenn.
The 41-year-old DJ Durano was quoted as saying “Walang DJ Durano kung walang Direk Wenn.” This was the emotional statement of DJ Durano when asked about his official statement after the death of the veteran director.
Wenn Deramas died on Monday, February 29, 2016 due to cardiac arrest, he was 47 years old. According to the former boyfriend of the director, he went to the Arlington Memorial Chapels in Araneta Avenue where the body of Deramas was laid during the first day of mourning.
In an interview with Pep.ph, DJ Durano was quoted as saying “It was difficult because everybody knows that Direk Wenn was my mentor and actually talagang he gave me the biggest break sa industry,” Durano stated.
The actor who was involved with Wenn Deramas for ten years added further that “And he’s a loss sa buong industriya. Napakagaling na direktor.” “I’m lost for words because I only have gratitude,” DJ Durano stated.
One of the most memorable moments between DJ and Direk Wenn when the director said to DJ that ““Lagi niyang sinasabi, ‘Dapat ang mga katulad mo, hindi nawawalan ng puwang sa industriyang ito, dahil maraming naniniwala sa talento mo, hindi dahil sa binibigyan kita ng trabaho. Because you deserve it at alam ng tao na pinaghirapan mo kung anong meron ka.” DJ Durano narrated.
