Sen. Enrile Defends Sen. Marcos Hits the Aquino Administration

Senate Minority Leader Juan Ponce Enrile one of major ally of the late President Cory Aquino defended Sen. Bongbong Marcos and hits Pres. Noynoy Aquino stating that the president did not know what he was talking about in comdemning the Marcos regime.

In an interview with Inquirer, Sen. Enrile was quoted as saying “I am sorry to say this, (the President) is very strong in blaming others, pointing his fingers at others, and (blaming) them. But he’s very weak and poor in knowledge and understanding,” Sen. Enrile stated.

The reactions of Sen. Juan Ponce Enrile, one of the Marcos loyalist who depicted during the EDSA People Power revolution, was made during President Aquino’s statements during the 30th anniversary of EDSA where the chief executive condemned the view of some people that the Marcos dictatorship was the golden years of the Philippines.

According to the veteran politician, Sen. Enrile, the plans being implemented by the current admistration of Pres. Aquino were made during the Marcos years. He also called the president as “inconsistent,” and there’s no reason for Sen. Bongbong Marcos to apologize in behalf of his father.

The former Defense Minister also note that he wants to know about the identity of Commander Felman, who served as a body guad to the late Ninoy Aquino and at the same time a “principal” commander of the Communist Party of the Philippines.
