One of Hollywood’s most prominent actor Tom Cruise was not bothered by the viral billboard that became one of the hottest topic on social media. Tom Cruise’s lawyer noted that he was amused with the campaign spin of the former party-list representative who runs as senator under Liberal Party’s “Daang Matuwid.”
In an article posted in the world’s most popular entertainment website, TMZ.com the Hollywood actor was quoted “I’m giving senate candidate a Filipino pass.”
The statement of Tom Cruise was his reaction to the giant billboard in the Philippines that went viral on Facebook. The viral photo as installed by some supporters of Cris Paez at the Sta. Rita, Bulacan exit of the North Luzon Express Way that projected the senate bid of Rep.Paez as Paezible.
According to the TMZ article the long time lawyer of Tom Cruise, Bert Fields, revealed that there’s no problem with Tom Cruise. The lawyer stated “Since the ad’s meant to be funny and doesn’t imply an endorsement, I’m sure Tom’s not going to assert the right to protect his name and likeness.”
Although the billboard was already taken down at the start of the campaign period, the viral billboard already spread like wildfire on social media and caught the attentions of numerous news media company.
