The former Philippine Navy captain-turned Senator Antonio Trillanes IV remained unfazed by the decision of a Makati Court on Monday to issue a warrant of arrest against the senator in connection with a libel case filed against him by dismissed Makati Mayor Jejomar “Junjun” Binay.
According to the 44-year-old Sen. Antonio Trillanes the decision of the court would not stop him from going after the Binay Family who dominated the politics of Makati City for the past few decades.
Sen. Trillanes stated that “Pinagaaralan na ng abogado ko kung ano ang mga nararapat na hakbang,” Trillanes said in a text message to reporters.
“Pero kung ang layunin ng pamilya Binay sa kasong ito ay para tigilan ko sila sa aking paguusig, nagkakamali sila. Hindi ko hahayaan ang mga magnanakaw na mamuno ng ating bansa,” the senator added.
The Vice Presidential candidate Sen. Trillanes aired his reactions to the arrest warrant issued by the Makati Regional Trial Court 142. The case filed against Trillanes was stemmed from the senator’s allegations that Mayor Binay had allegedly bought an injunction from the Court of Appeals to stop his suspension in connection with the allegedly anomalous construction of the Makati City Hall 2 parking building.
