Top Gear Philippines explained through an article that they have already solved the incident involving the Toyota Innova and the motorcycle rider that was previously reported as a hit an run incident. According to Top Gear the incident took place in BGC on January 26 at around 10:00 AM.
The owner of the Innova with plate number (ACA-9130) reached out to TopGear.com.ph to explained what had happened. The car belongs to lawyer Haydee Chavez and her hsuband, during the incident, their driver Edgardo Hurna informed them that he had been involved in an incident with a motorcycle but didn’t realize the severity of the situation until they saw the video.
“After seeing the video, we immediately went to the police station with the vehicle and our driver to report the incident,” Chavez said. “We are willing to face the consequences of what happened, and settle with the motorcycle rider.”
According to the Innova owner the driver panicked and fled as a knee-jerk reaction, because it was the first time an incident happened to him, the owner even described Hurna as a “seasoned driver.”
The motorcycle rider was also identified as Indian expatriate named Vijay Nagale, a director at Alcatel-Lucent.
