One of the most popular and veteran Philippine Azkals player, the Filipino-German footballer Stephan Schröck was formally welcomed by local football team Ceres-La Salle FC on Wednesday. Schröck, one of the more talented football players of the Philippine Azkals, has formally signed an agreement with Ceres in preparation for the coming Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Cup group eliminations.
The AFC Cup one 2016 group elimination will take place on February 23, April 12 and May 10 at the Panaad Park and Stadium in Bacolod City, Negros Occidental.
The inclusion of the veteran German footballer will be a huge boost for the Philippines in the regional football competition. Stephan Schrock had stints with Germany’s 1899 Hoffenheim, Eintracht Frankfurt and SpVgg Greuther Fürth. He will be signing with the team on a loan agreement.
Stephan Shrock will be playing with other Azkals team members like Juani Guirado, Martin Steuble, Manny Ott, Patrick Reichelt, Nate Burkley, Paul Mulders and Kevin Ingresso. Also in the line-up are Ceres FC Negrense players Edward Sacapano, Arnie Pasinabo and Michael Casas.
