Veteran comedienne Ai-Ai delas Alas has cast doubt on Star Cinema’s claims that ‘Beauty and the Bestie’ has beaten ‘My Bebe Love: #Kiligpamore’ in the Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) box-office ranking. Ai-Ai delas Alas who was one of the cast in the movie “My Bebe Love” doubts the announcement released by Star Cinema that their movie ranked No. 1 in box office earnings.
During the past days, Star Cinema claimed that their MMFF entry movie “Beauty and the Beastie,” snagged the top spot as the festival entered its second week.
Box office actor and comedian Vice Ganda also tweeted that his movie with Coco Martin already earned more than P300 million in box office income while movie “My Bebe Love” ranked second to the Vice Ganda movie.
For the past few days, the stars of the movie “My Bebe Love,” stars Vic Sotto, Ai Ai delas Alas and the Aldub tandem of Alden Richards and Maine Mendoza ranked No. 1 during the opening day, grossing an estimated record-breaking sales of P60.5 million.
Ai Ai delas also made the statement in the of reports of ticket-swapping that could affect numbers that determine box-office ranking. The actress said people very close to her had personally witnessed ticket swapping.
