According to NPC spokesperson Mark Enverga, they plans to meet Mayor Rodrigo Duterte before the decision to announce who among the presidentiables they will support despite the fact that some of the party’s members already pledged support to Sen. Grace Poe.

The NPC leadership revealed to the media that they would listen to Mayor Duterte’s platform and programs of governance during the meeting later this month.

Mayor Rodrigo Duterte is the standard bearer of the Partido Demokratiko Pilipinas-Lakas ng Bayan, one of the oldest party in the country that produced the presidency of the late Pres. Corazon C. Aquino, the mother of President Benigno S. Aquino.

The NPC also noted that Sen. Grace Poe remains one of the candidates being considered for endorsement alongside fellow independent Vice Presidential candidate Sen. Chiz Escudero. The party noted that they were undaunted by the disqualification case filed against Sen. Grace Poe.
