Discover Boracay Hotel and SPA released and official statement through their Facebook Page clarifying the incident involving the company in the alleged discrimination which was posted by a certain Filipino soldier named Ryan Layug.
The controversial Facebook post of Ryan Layug dragged down the name of Discover Boracay based upon the comments posted by some netizens on Facebook.
On the Facebook page of Discover Boracay they clarified the issue as they appreciate the review/concern and apologized for the confusion. They noted that they want to set the record straight that Discover Boracay Hotel is a different entity with the restaurant (VIP Lounge) that was mentioned by Ryan Layug. The VIP and Korean restaurant was only renting a space and managed by the Korean.
