Roads Closed to Traffic During Thanksgiving Parade of Black Nazarene (Dec. 31)

The Manila District Traffic Enforcement Unit (MDTEU) released the roads which will be closed to traffic during the highly anticipated Thanksgiving Parade of the Black Nazarene in Metro Manila. The thanksgiving parade is part of the preparation of the Quiapo Church for the bigger procession of the Black Nazarene this coming January 9, 2016.

According to MDTEU some roads will be closed to traffic during the Thanksgiving Parade starting from around 4:00 AM up to 11:00 AM. Listed below are the list of roads which will be closed to traffic.

Here’s the List of Roads Closed to Traffic:

_ Northbound and southbound lane of Quezon Boulevard (Quiapo) from Andalucia st. corner of Fugoso st. to Quezon Bridge

– Isetann/Q. Boulevard (southbound) service road

– España ave.P. Campa and Lerma st.

– Eastbound lane of Claro M. Recto ave. from Rizal ave. to S.H. Loyola st.

The traffic management office of the City of Manila also added that motorists should expect heavy traffic and suggests to find alternative routes within the city of Manila during the said thanksgiving procession.

Alternate routes for the December 31, 2015 thanksgiving procession of the Black Nazarene was already released by the Traffic Management Office of Manila. Based upon earlier reports, the thanksgiving procession was supposed to be held every January 1 but because of some incident it was moved to an earlier date.
