Kapamilya stars Enrique Gil, Daniel Padilla and Xian Lim made it to the elite list of an international movie critics based in Britain as they released the list of “100 Most Handsome Faces of 2015.” The TC Candler’s annual rankings is considered as one of Europe’s highly anticipated list of most beautiful and handsome faces every year.
Enrique Gil ranked No. 13 in this year’s list, finishing above the likes of Michael B. Jordan and Ryan Gosling. The 23-year-old actor is also considered as the one of the most popular and handsome actor in the Philippine TV and movie industry.
Aside from Enrique Gil, Kapamilya actor Daniel Padilla also made it to the elite list of the most handsome faces and was ranked at 22nd, while fellow Kapamilya actor Xian Lim managed to squeeze in at 99th spot. The three Filipino stars are the only Filipino in the list.
TC Candler noted that the list “is not a popularity contest. It is not about the sexiest or the most famous. Rather, the list attempts to inform public opinion instead of reflecting it.”
“This list searches far and wide, listening to the millions of suggestions submitted every year, and tries to put together a list representative of the modern ideal of beauty. Aesthetic perfection is only one of the criteria. Grace, elegance, class, poise, joy, promise, hope… they are all embodied in a beautiful face.”
TC Candler claimed that his list has taken into consideration the opinion of a group called “The Independent Critics,” which are “a diverse group of men and women, young and old, originating from and living in various parts of the world.” The list was presented annually since the year 1990 and this is the first time that Filipinos were included in the elite list.
