Alternate Route for the Black Nazarene Thanksgiving Procession Released

MDTEU suggests that motorists from Espana Avenue going to the southern part of Manila should make a left turn at Nicanor Reyes St., Right turn on CM Recto Aven. and left turn on Rizal Avenue to avoid the heavy traffic.

Motorists are also advised to make right turn at Fugoso St. and then make a left turn at Rizal Ave. instead of going straight to Quezon Blvd., from Andalucia St.

All vehicles from Divisoria traversing the eastbound lane of CM Recto should make a right turn at Rizal Ave., while those vehicles who wants to travel along S.H. Loyola St., they should make a left turn at CM Recto from Balic-Balic and going to Quiapo.

Meanwhile all motorists going to the eastbound of U.N. Avenue are advised to turn right at Taft Avenue or General Luna St. The City of Manila estimates that they expects 10,000 people who will be participating in this year’s procession slightly larger compared to the 8,000 people who attended last year.

Based upon earlier reports, the thanksgiving procession was supposed to be held every January 1 but because of some incident it was moved to an earlier date.
