MMFF Controversy: “My Bebe Love” Swapped to Another Movie

The Metro Manila Film Festival 2015 is now plagued with controversy during the first day of showing. Fans and followers of the popular AlDub love team which was featured in the MMFF entry movie “My Bebe Love.”

According to some fans and followers of AlDub, they were confused after discovering that the tickets they bought were swapped to another movie.

Although the movie tickets were swapped, some AlDub fans could not do anything but to watch the movie shown on their tickets. Some reliable sources revealed that the movie “My Bebe Love” was swapped with the Star Cinema film “Beauty and the Beasty” featuring Vice Ganda, Coco Martin and the JaDine love team.

“My Bebe Love,” director Jose Javier Reyes confirmed that “ticket swapping” has occurred in some cinemas. He tweeted “Got word from producer: IT IS TRUE. Make sure that the title of the movie on YOUR ticket is what you want to watch.Beware of ticket swapping,” Reyes said.

Jose Javier Reyes asked fans to be calm and check their tickets before watching the movie. The director also announced on his Twitter account that during the first hour of MMFF’s opening day, the movie already reached the P1-million mark.

The eight entries for the 41st MMFF are: My Bebe Love, Beauty and the Bestie, All You Need is Pag-ibig, Haunted Mansion, Buy Now, Die Later, Walang Forever, Honor Thy Father, and Nilalang.
