Star Cinema, one of the country’s most popular movie outfit announced to the entertainment press that as of Saturday, December 5, the movie “A Second Chance” already garnered more than P400 million in box office earnings nationwide.
The ultimate “Hugot Film” of Popoy and Basha dominated the box office movies in the Philippines after it broke some records. The movie featuring John Lloyd Cruz and Bea Alonzo earned a whooping P100 million in just three days of nationwide showing.
Aside from the Philippine box office income of the movie, which is projected by some entertainment writers to be considered as the highest grossing Non-MMFF movie of all time, the movie was also well attended by international audiences.
The movie “A Second Chance” revisits the lives of Popoy (John Lloyd Cruz) and Basha (Bea Alonzo) as they as they traverse the highs and lows of married life. It also stars Dimples Romana, James Blanco, Bea Saw, Janus del Prado, and Ahron Villena.
