The tough-talking mayor of Davao City, Mayor Rody Duterte who is now considered as the strongest presidential candidate particularly in social media made an official comment with what Camarines Sur Rep. Leni Robredo’s recent comment regarding the leadership of Mayor Duterte.
In an earlier report, Camarines Sur Rep. Leni Robredo who is running for Vice President under the Liberal Party mad a comment that she does not subscribe to the mailed-fist rule of Mayor Duterte and noted that the City of Naga achieved similar peace and order situation and progress without the leadership style of Mayor Duterte.
In an interview with the reporters, Mayor Duterte was quoted as saying “I do not also subscribe the style of her leadership. Tabla lang kami — she does not like me, I do not like her, so no problem,” Duterte told reporters in Davao City.
The wife of former DILG Secretary Robredo, Rep. Leni Robredo said on Friday that Naga City was was able to equal the progress of Davao City without employing harsh methods in curbing criminality.
As result of the lawmaker’s statement Mayor Duterte also clarified that if Rep. Robredo believes that her city was already peaceful despite the huge number of police incidents reported, then when he will become the President of the Philippines, he will skip Naga City in terms of peace and order solutions, because the city can take care the situation already.
