Kevin Ferrer Leads UST Tiger’s Victory Over FEU in Game 2 of the UAAP Finals (Video)

University of Sto. Tomas (UST) Growling Tigers main man Kevin Ferrer lead his team in extending the best-of-three championship series as they defeated the Far Eastern University (FEU) Tamaraws with the final score of 62-56. The FEU Tamaraws tried to end the series in Game 2 but the UST Tigers did its best to extend the game and finally won Game 2 of the UAAP Finals.

UST Defeats FEU

Kevin Ferrer exploded for six (6) triples and 24 points in the third quarter alone as the Tigers turned a 21-30 halftime deficit into a 47-41 lead entering the fourth period.

The FEU Tamaraws made an impressive run in the fourth quarter with their 6-0 run effort lead by Raymar Jose at 54-50 with 4:45 remaining, but the Tigers slowly chipped away the lead as they secured key rebounds down the stretch to take the lead 58-54 with just 30 seconds left.

The UST Growling Tigers bounced back from their Game 1 loss to even the series at 1-win-1-loss records for both teams. The Tigers is now poised to capture its 19th UAAP Men’s Basketball title and its first championship since the year 2006.

The Game 3 of the best-of-three UAAP Men’s Basketball championship series will be held this coming Wednesday, December 2, 2015.
