Former actor-turned politician, Rep. Dan Fernandez of Laguna province, a member of the ruling Liberal Party is not impressed by Mayor Rodrigo Duterte’s achievement in Davao City and noted that he could do better in a short span of time compared to Duterte’s two decades of public service.
Rep. Dan Fernandez belittled the achievements of Mayor Duterte and noted that the aspiring presidential candidate is “overrated,” with his achievement as a politician.
During the interview with the media, the congressman who is now running for Santa Rosa, Laguna mayor told the reporters that he can do better compared to Mayor Duterte. He was quoted as saying “Give me 10 years, and I can improve any town,” he told reporters at the House of Representatives.
Congressman Fernandez is a former actor and third-term congressman of the Province of Laguna, he noted that it took Mayor Duterte over two decades, serving as mayor for seven terms, to transform Davao City into one of the world’s safest cities.
Mayor Rodrigo Duterte already announced his presidential run this week which could pave the way for a five-way race with survey front-runner Sen. Grace Poe, Vice President Jejomar Binay, LP standard-bearer Mar Roxas and Sen. Miriam Defensor-Santiago.
