The Ateneo Blue Eagles and the FEU Tamaraws had a successful Season 78 campaign during the elimination rounds, as the Tamaraws finished with an impressive 11-3 records and ranked second while the third-ranked Ateneo had a 9-5 win-loss card in the elimination.
The FEU Tamaraws has a twice-to-beat edge in the Final Four of the UAAP Men’s Basketball competition. In terms of head-to-head match up this season, the FEU Tamaraws swept their season series against the Blue Eagles.
Both the Blue Eagles and the Tamaraws were bannered by graduating players who wants to proved once and for all they were worthy to be in the finals. For FEU, graduating players Roger Pogoy, Mac Belo, and Mike Tolomia are hoping to end their UAAP careers with a title after 3 losses in the finals.
For Ateneo, UAAP MVP Kiefer Ravena and Von Pessumal are hoping to extend their college careers with a win today to extend the series and still hopes to upset FEU and moved on to the finals of the UAAP after a failed bid last season.
