Filipina transgender model Trixie Maristela was crowned as the winner of the Miss International Queen 2015 which was held in Pattaya, Thailand.
The model was formerly crowned Miss Gay Manila 2015 earlier this year and represents the Philippines in the world-renowned beauty pageant.
Trixie Maristela bested a total of 26 contestants from different countries worldwide, the beauty pageant was intended for transgender women-only that draws contestants from all over the world.
Aside from Trixie Maristela, completing her court at the Miss International Queen pageant were Brazil’s Valesca Dominik Ferrez as first runner-up and Sopida Siriwattananukoon from Thailand as second runner-up.
The 29-year-old Trixie Maristela is a graduate of the University of the Philippines’ European Languages department and plays the violin.
