The country’s phenomenal love team, AlDub featuring Alden Richards and Yaya Dub or Maine Mendoza made international headline anew as it breaks the FIFA World Cup Twitter records of the match between Germany and Brazil who previously dominated the Twitter trending topics worldwide.
According to Twitter’s records, the game featuring Germany and Brazil during the 2014 FIFA World Cup generated more than 35.6 million tweets while the latest event of AlDub dubbed as #ALDubEBTamangPanahon conquered Twitter trending with more than 39.5 million tweets worldwide.
The latest event of the country’s longest running show Eat Bulaga’s “Tamang Panahon” charity concert on Saturday goes into the annals of Philippine television history.
The phenomenal love team, AlDub featuring Alden Richards and Maine Mendoza enchanted their millions of fans during their fourth meeting on Saturday at the 55,000-seater Philippine Arena in Bulacan.
Aside from the AlDub love team who experienced their first hugs, first dance and many firsts of their split-screen relationships, Eat Bulaga also featured the couple’ grandmothers, Lola Nidora (Wall Bayola), Tinidora (Jose Manalo) and Tidora (Paolo Ballesteros) with hosts Tito, Vice and Joey.
According to the Kapuso Channel, the Eat Bulaga concert was able to raise P14 million to be spent on library projects in three pre-selected beneficiary schools, each in Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao.
