A viral video is currently circulating online about an alleged “drunk konsehal driver” who caught the attentions of most netizens who already watched the viral video. In the latest development, the alleged driver was identified as John Apacible, a player from the Ateneo de Manila University.
The viral video was originally posted by Top Gear Philippines and it was copied and shared by various Facebook pages owned and managed by some of the country’s bloggers.
Top Gear Philippines added the following description to the viral video: “From Yan Bote: “Along Timog Avenue in Quezon City. Plate number ACA-7111. Lasing na lasing yung driver tapos nanggulpi ng driver ng delivery van at nanghampas ng dumadaang kotse tapos nanggigitgit ng mga sasakyan. Di man lang hinuli ng mga pulis. Hinayaan pa magdrive kahit lasing at may mga nagrereklamo.”
Due to the viral nature of the video, some netizens identified the man whom most netizens thought was a councilor as one of the basketball star in the UAAP’s Ateneo Blue Eagles. The sophomore forward who is just 19 years old and stands 6-foot-4 became the hottest topic on social media.
The viral video shows John Apacible apparently drunk cursing and picking up a fight while also bragging his councilor protocol plate. He is expected to face disciplinary sanctions from Ateneo and the Blue Eagles management.
