Bagyong Lando Kept Strength Storm Signals & Hourly Update (Oct. 17)

The country’s weather bureau, Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration warned the Filipino public that Bagyong Lando (Koppu) kept its strength but slowed down on Saturday morning, from 15 kph, it moved at a slower pace of 12 kph westward.

PAGASA already raised the Public Storm Warning Signal No. 3 in the areas of Aurora, Quirino, Isabela and Polillo Island.

Signal No. 2 on the other hand was raised in the areas of Northern Quezon, Nueva Vizcaya, Nueva Ecija, La Union, Benguet, Ifugao, Mt. Province, Ilocos Sur, Ilocos Norte, Abra, Apayao, Kalinga, and Cagayan including Babuyan and Calayan group of Islands.

Signal No .1 was hoisted over Batanes, Pangasinan, Bulacan, Pampanga, Tarlac, Zambales, Bataan, Rizal, Batangas, Laguna, Southern Quezon, Cavite, Albay, Camarines Norte, Camarines Sur, Catanduanes and Metro Manila.

Bagyong Lando was last tracked 335 kilometers east of Baler, Aurora, packed a maximum sustained winds of 150 kilometer per hour (kph) near the center and gusts of up to 185 kph.
