Mayor Rodrigo Duterte made his final decision as he filed his Certificate of Candidacy (COC) for Mayor of Davao City as represented by Duterte’s chief-of-staff Bong Co and Davao City administrator Melchor Quitain.
The tough-talking mayor of Davao City reiterated that he never said he would run for president. According to Mayor Duterte’s chief-of-staff Bong Co, the mayor have already come up with his final decision not to run for President.
The COC of Mayor Duterte was filed by Duterte’s chief-of-staff Bong Go and Davao City administrator Melchor Quitain who filed Mayor Duterte’s COC for mayor at around 2:35 P.M.
According to Davao City administrator, Mayor Duterte would like to thank to all his supporters. He was quoted as saying “Nalulungkot siya sa lahat ng supporter niya kasi gusto niyang pagbigyan lahat, pero uulitin lang niya na hindi niya sinabing tatakbo siya sa pagkapangulo,” he added.
The chief-of-staff of Mayor Duterte was also seen wearing a white shirt with “No is No” printed on the front, and “Sinabi ko na, ayaw ko, ang titigas ng ulo niyo – Rody Duterte” at the back.
