Chito Miranda Offered P2 Million to Promote a Presidential Candidate

Pinoy rock band vocalist Chito Miranda admitted on Tuesday during an interview with the media that he was offered P2 million to promote a presidential candidate, but declined the offer despite the hefty sum.

Chito Miranda first confirmed the news when he tweeted that someone offered him a huge sum of money but opted to follow his conscience on who among the presidentiables he will going to support.

The 39-year-old Chito Miranda tweeted “I was offered P2M to tweet for a presidential candidate. Di ko tinanggap kasi gusto ko suportahan si Duterte o si Miriam kahit walang bayad,” Miranda said in a Twitter post.

The social media post of Chito went viral on Twitter as it garnered more retweets and favorites by some of his Twitter followers.

Chito Miranda’s confirmation of the huge amount of money only shows that there are candidates who are willing to spend a huge of amount of money for celebrities to endorse their candidacy in the 2016 national elections.

Chito Miranda’s intended support for either Miriam Defensor-Santiago or Mayor Duterte garnered positive response not only from his followers but also for the followers of the two politicians.
