Gilas Pilipinas Schedule of Games in FIBA Asia 2015 Final Round

The FIBA Asia Basketball Championship 2015 will be having a rest day today, September 30, 2015 and will start the final round on October 1, 2015 featuring the Top four teams from Group E and Group F. The Gilas Pilipinas squad was the top seeded team in Group E while China tops Group F.

October 1, 2015 – Gilas Pilipinas vs. Lebanon (Time: 9:30 PM)

October 2, 2015 – Gilas vs. (winner between Japan & Qatar)

October 3, 2015  – FIBA Championship Finals (winner of China Bracket)

Gilas Pilipinas managed to escape an early duel against host China in the final round as defending champion Iran will probably clash with the host while the Philippines arch-rival South Korea will face first Iran in the final round.

The Philippine national basketball team hasn’t won the FIBA Asia Championship since the year 1986, when the tournament was still known as the Asian Basketball Confederation.

Coach Tab Baldwin’s squad, Gilas Pilipinas will face Lebanon in the crossover Quarterfinals Round of the FIBA Asia and will most likely have Qatar as as a semifinal foe. The national basketball team of Qatar is considered as heavy favorite against Japan in their quarterfinal duel.
