The Philippine national men’s basketball team, Gilas Pilipinas will face a lightweight team in the opening game of the FIBA Asia 2015 Championship against Palestine national basketball squad who will be seeing action for the very first time in FIBA Asia. The Gilas Pilipinas vs. Palestine match will start at around 11:45 AM for the Group B of the FIBA Asia Championship. The other members of Group, Kuwait and Hong Kong will play against each other in the opening game at around 9:30 AM.
The Palestine National basketball team will rely mostly on their most popular player, the 6-foot-8 forward Sakakini who lead the veterans of the team which includes, Imad Qahwash, Shadi Khatib and Hamza Yousef.
The Philippines will be having a balance line-up featuring NBA veteran Andre Blatche and Jones Cup stalwarts, Terrence Romeo, Calvin Abueva and one of Asia’s best guard, Jayson Castro.
