Kapamilya singer-actor Sam Concepcion wins the second week of “Your Face Sounds Familiar” on Sunday after he went wild with his impersonation of R&B Singer Jason Derulo. Sam Concepcion performed the hit song “Talk Dirty,” featuring the veteran singer’s sexy dance moves.
During Sam Concepcion’s portrayal of Jason Derulo, he even removed his shirt and completed the number with a signature Jason Derulo features.
Judge Sharon Cuneta was so impressed with Sam Concepcion’s performance and noted that what he did was perfect. Sharon Cuneta was quoted as saying “Oh my God, Sam, that was perfect. I didn’t see you, I didn’t see any of you. I saw the effort you put into the number,” Sharon Cuneta told Concepcion.
The other judges of the show, Jed Madela and Gary Valencia were also impressed with the remarkable performance of Sam Concepcion channeling Jason Derulo.
Although Jed Madela admitted that he was worried about Concepcion’s performance due to the similarities in both artists’ genre, the judge noted that Sam really nailed it.
Sam Concepcion’s performance on Sunday earned him a total of 27 points, which is enough for him to bring home the title. The singer actor brought with him the P100,000 cash prize, half of which will be donated to his chosen charity, the World Vision.
