The widow of the late DILG Secretary, Rep. Leni Robredo considers running for Vice President but ask the Liberal Party, and the Presidential candidate Mar Roxas to give her three weeks to decide or give her at least 21 days before she could come up with her final decision.
Rep. Leni Robredo is currently holding the seat of Camarines Sur’s third district in the House of Representatives, revealed during an interview that she needed three weeks to “seriously consider” a run for Vice President becaue she had to consult her three children, other members of family and the local LOP allies.
In an interview with Inquirer, during the sidelines of the oath-taking rites for new LP Memers in Naga City, Rep. Robredo was quoted as saying “I’m heeding Mar’s request to be open about it.”
Presidential candidate Mar Roxas, whose aspirations to lead the country has been endorsed by President Aquino, presided over the oath-taking ceremonies of new LP members in Naga City, which was reportedly attended by more than 1,500 party members.
The 51-year-old Rep. Leni Robredo also revealed during the interview that she had a private meeting with Mar Roxas on Thursday and he asked her to be his running mate for the 2016 national elections.
The lawmaker, Congresswoman Leni Robredo should make a decision before the deadline for the filing of certicates of candidacy on October 16, 2015.
