Mar Roxas Officially Asks Rep. Leni Robredo to be His Vice President

The standard bearer of Liberal Party, former DILG Secretary Mar Roxas has officially invited Camarines Sur Rep. Leni Robredo to run as his Vice President in the 2016 national elections. In a report posted by ABS-CBN, Rep. Robredo confirmed that Mar Roxas invited the congresswoman to run as his Vice President in the 2016 elections.

Mar Roxas Robredo

Although the lawmaker already confirmed that she was invited by the administration party’s standard-bearer, but she is yet to decide if she will accept the offer of the Liberal Party’s standard bearer.

According to the wife of the former DILG Secretary Jesse Robredo, she will accept the offer of the Liberal Party standard’s bearer but will consider first the opinion of her children in deciding her plans or the 2016 national elections.

Presidential aspirant Mar Roxas is set to personally talk with Rep. Leni Robredo’s children regarding the upcoming elections. The congresswoman earlier said that she will only seek the Vice Presidency in 2016 if nobody else is up for the post.

    The Presidency:
    Separates the Boys from Men,
    Girls from Ladies!
It is a tough job that requires intelligence, patience, experience, wisdom, maturity and integrity!
Popularity should not be the primary consideration!

A good number of politicians from local to national governance are aspiring or are being pushed by group(s) to run for president in the forthcoming synchronized national and local elections in May 2016.

In fairness to all of them, it is admirable to note that they have the enthusiasm and desire to serve this Pearl of the Orient country, even a number of them have running plugging of infomercials on television, even before the filing of candidacy in October this year. However, the big stunning question is: Are they straightforwardly qualified for the very demanding position, be it on their time, dedication, privacy, integrity, maturity intellectual and moral capability as well as political maturity to lead this nation with so many out-of-proportion problems on economy, unemployment, social justice, health, peace and order, leftist insurgency, Muslim secessionist movements, territorial integrity and foreign relations, among so many others to name just a few?

Are they prepared as well to abide by and defend the Constitution of this republic in the Far East?

The Philippine Constitution states in Article VII – Executive Department
The Philippines is a presidential system of government. The executive power is vested to the President, (removed)isted by Vice president and heads of executive departments. The Article VII explains the qualification, term of office, election, power and functions of Philippine President and the officials within the executive branch. It also specifies the presidential line of succession.

The same Charter stipulates this as an “Oath” of the President:

I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully and conscientiously fulfill my duties as President of the Philippines, preserve and defend its Constitution, execute its laws, do justice to every man, and consecrate myself to the service of the Nation. So help me God.”

This oath binds the President to the foregoing statement (oath) as he/she swears to fulfill all of those above-mentioned duties and responsibilities especially on his conformity and compliance to the Constitution, otherwise he/she may possibly face impeachment with the vote of one-third of the members of the House Representatives and be tried in the Senate that will convene as an Impeachment Court. The vote of two-thirds of the members of the Senate shall convict the President or any impeachable public official, which will officially effect his/her removal from office.

The members of the Iglesia ni Cristo (INC) held rallies recently at the DOJ and at the EDSA-Shaw Blvd-Crossing recently due to their concern that their high ranking officials, the members of the “Sanggunian” (INC’s highest administrative council) are at risk of being charged with the non-bailable offense of illegal detention, among other criminal complaints that were filed by former INC Minister Isaias Samson Jr., Myrna Dionela Samson and Isaiah Samson who said they were prohibited from leaving their house in Quezon City last July, after he was accused of being “Antonio Ebanghelista,” the alleged perceived internet blogger who have been allegedly writing against INC.

Samson Jr., the former editor-in-chief of INC’s official publication Pasugo, denied the allegation.

During the height of the rally, Sen. Grace Poe and VP Jojo Binay made pronouncements favoring the INC rallyists. They may probably allegedly thought of the fact that INC members vote as a block during elections in the country, to whoever are the selected candidates for various elective positions by the INC hierarchy based on whatsoever criteria that they may have set based on their doctrines, policies, or guidelines.

Grace Poe, is a lawmaker in the Senate and Jojo Binay, is a lawyer. By immediately supporting the rallyists with their pronouncements, that it is their democratic and constitutional right to air their grievance(s) with the freedom of expression, as it is enshrined in the Bill of Rights in our present Charter.

Grace and Jojo (G&J) have thought of the rights of the INC rallyists but obviously their statements do not seem to manifest concern for the protection of the rights of the complainants as well as the possible effect on traffic flow along EDSA which may disturb the lives, well-being and safety of the enormous number of motorists and commuters who p(removed) along the said Metro Manila hi-way, should the INC crowd have ballooned to a proportion that will clog the traffic lanes. Why have they not thought of the so-called principle which is equal protection of the law(s)?

Are media practitioners more alert, perceptive, sensitive, intellectually-inclined and ever ready than politicians and aspirants in crisis situations?

My deep-thinking friends told me, that Grace and Jojo allegedly manifested selfish attitudes as they are allegedly probably thinking of their political careers and the forthcoming 2016 elections or they are just simply allegedly partial for the Iglesia Ni Cristo (INC) rallyists to the detriment of the driving and commuting public, who are also Filipinos and Voters like the INC members, who are just the same protected by the Philippine Charter and laws.

In fairness to Grace Poe and Jojo Binay, maybe it was not their intention to behave that way, but their words may have brought about different perceptions and feelings to other Filipinos, regardless of the fact, whether they are residing and working in Metro Manila or are situated elsewhere in the country.

However, their tactless pronouncements (TP) may have manifested some kind of, immaturity, lack of wisdom as well as concern for other Filipinos’ well-being and safety. Should Grace or Jojo become president with the possible votes of Filipinos who blindly follow them regardless of their public demeanor, how could they protect the rights of each and every Filipino, with our 100 million population, regardless of party affiliation, religion, creed, persuasion, and social status?

Politicians, public officials and private figures should learn to avoid tactless pronouncements (TP) as it may ruin public perception and image. One Pangasinan gubernatorial aspirant was heavily hit by commentators after his recorded tactless pronouncement (TP) during press conference was played back on the air during radio broadcasts. This has diminished further his minimal popularity rating and following which is still struggling as of this time, despite the fact that he spent tens of millions of pesos to make his name known in the different towns with his medical missions. He is allegedly entertaining now the idea of running for the Senate instead of the gubernatorial position in Pangasinan. Let us wait and see in October! How about his ally-mayors who are expecting financial support in 2016? Should he ran for a Senate seat, what will happen to his mayor-allies? The incumbent mayors who defected to him in 2014 may expect stronger opposition who may probably be supported by the dominant political force in the province since 2007. Mayors, did u hit yourselves with your own arms or a dose of your own medicine? Did you not think once, twice, three times or more?

On the other hand, DILG Sec. Manuel “Mar/Mr.Palengke” Araneta Roxas met with police and LGU officials at Camp Crame to brainstorm on how to protect the INC rallyists from possible infiltration of unscrupulous elements of the society as well as to keep the EDSA traffic lanes open for the benefit and safety of the driving and riding public. Do you realize the all-around balanced approach and more matured thinking of Mar? He did not offend the INC rallyists, even as he thought of their safety. Mar, did not forget other Filipinos too, who are p(removed)ing through EDSA. He also looked at the rally with the bigger picture which was seriously taken into consideration. A President will be exposed to so many crisis situations during his term. Mar has displayed qualities that he is prepared for the Presidency in 2016 as he thinks as a good leader during critical point. Mar has gotten the attention and admiration of even those who previously criticized him due to one reason or another, as he brilliantly p(removed)ed the leadership test with flying colors, during decisive moment. Keep up the good work Mar!

Sec.Mar, thank you so much for the forty-four (44) new police patrol cars that you sent and were distributed recently to the different LGUs and police stations in the Province of Pangasinan. Hopefully, Pangasinan and Pangasinenses are all always in your mind and heart. May you visit us more often here! Mar you need however to learn more on how to be much closer with the m(removed) of Filipinos as you are perceived to be from elite families of your father Gerry Roxas and your mother Judy Araneta.

“Mr.Palengke” you need to go back to the wet markets! Mamasyal ka rin Mar sa mga palengke! Magsaysay did that many years ago and common tao became his friends and fans with his native hat. Your first name, Manuel, will surely ring the bells for those who know Philippine history as your grandfather Manuel Roxas was the first president of the Philippine Republic, especially as they look at their one-hundred (100) peso-bills. What a great campaign leaflet!

Mar, as you court the minds and hearts of the Pangasinenses, they can be of big help to you in your desire to be the Chief Executive of the Philippine Government in 2016. May you learn Pangasinan and Ilocano lines for the audience’s “kilig” (giggle) during the campaign sorties in the province.

Truly, the race for the Presidency will separate boys from men and girls from ladies!
It is a tough job that requires intelligence, patience, experience, wisdom, maturity and integrity!
Popularity should not be the primary consideration!
We, the Filipino voters, should know better, who should be our leader at the Palace in 2016 to 2022.
We Filipinos, should pray more to GOD for His Divine Wisdom, Discernment, Guidance and Blessings.
Be with us all always Oh, Lord God, In Jesus’ Mighty Name, Amen!!!(mts)

GOD BLESS AND GUIDE OUR POLITICAL, MILITARY, RELIGIOUS AND BUSINESS LEADERS!

    GOD BLESS US FILIPINO VOTERS!

GOD BLESS AND PROTECT THE PHILIPPINES AND HER TERRITORIES AS WELL AS HER NATURAL RESOURCES FOR THE GREATEST BENEFIT OF THE POOR AND POWERLESS CITIZENS!
