Bruno Mars Invited to Headline Next Year’s Super Bowl Halftime Show

Filipino-American international singer and Grammy-winning artist Bruno mars has been invited for the second time to headline next year’s Super Bowl halftime show after scoring the second-biggest audience in the show’s history two years ago.

In a report posted by one of the world’s leading music authority Billboard magazine, in addition to performing at the National Football League’s Super Bowl 50, Bruno Mars has been asked to “curate” the show, but they cited unnamed sources.

The 29-year-old performer, the singer, songwriter and producer will get to handpick the “impressive guests” who appear with him on stage during the event.

The National Football League Championship game will be held in Santa Clara, California, in February 2016. Representatives of Bruno Mars did not immediately respond to requests for comment and NFL representatives declined to comment.

During the 2014 Super Bowl, Bruno Mars brought rockers Red Hot Chilli Peppers to join him on stage for the halftime show drawing 115.3 million viewers.

The only artists who edged out Bruno Mars in the Super Bowl viewership is singer Katy Perry who drew 118.5 million viewers during the 2015 Super Bowl which is considered as the most-watched Super Bowl halftime performance in history.
