Bagyong Hanna (Soudelor) Storm Signals & Hourly Updates (August 6, 2015)

The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) announced that Bagyong Hanna (international name: Soudelor) has slightly weakened as it moves closer to Batanes area which is now under Public Storm Warning Signal No. 1. PAGASA reported that as of 10:00 AM today, August 6, the eye/center of the typhoon was located based on all available data at 825 km East of Basco, Batanes.

Bagyong Hanna has maximum sustained winds of 165 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 200 kph. It is forecasts to move West Northwest at 20 kph.

Here’s the Forecast Positions According to PAGASA:

• 24 hour (Tomorrow morning): 370 km East Northeast of Itbayat, Batanes
• 48 hour (Saturday morning): 355 km North Northwest of Itbayat, Batanes
• 72 hour (Sunday morning): Outside PAR or 765 km Northwest of Itbayat, Batanes
• 96 hour (Monday morning): at 1160 km Northwest of Itbayat, Batanes (Outside PAR)

PAGASA raised the Public Storm Warning Signals NO. 1 in the provinces listed below:

Public Storm Warning Signal No. 1 (30-60 kph Expected in 36 hrs.)

Batanes Group of Islands and Calayan & Babuyan group of islands

The country’s weather bureau also noted that Bagyong Hanna is still expected not to make a landfall in any part of the country and is likely to exit the country by Saturday towards Taiwan and China.
