INC Minister Detained by Armed Guards Escape and Barred the Church’s Corrupt Practices

Isaias Samson Jr. a loyal servant and minister of Iglesia Ni Cristo revealed to the media that he and his family were detained by INC in their own home. He revealed that his wife and son were place “under house arrest” in their townhouse in Tierre Bella, a Quezon City subdivision just behind the INC headquarters where the group housed its ministers.

The INC ministers noted that his family was under the constant watch of armed guards, some of them even carrying high-powered firearms. He was quoted as saying “It was torture acturally. We didn’t know what was going on outside, what they planned to do,” Samson stated.

INC Minister Isaias Samson Jr. surfaced in a hastily called press conference in Manila on Thursday evening and detailed his weeklong ordeal at the hands of certain members of the INC Sanggunian.

Samson also confirmed that reported kidnapping of at least 10 INC ministers in a fast-escalating struggle within the country’s most popular religious Christian denomination, the INC, tagging military and police officers as the culprits.

The INC Minister Isaias Samson Jr. worked as editor in chief of the official publication of INC, Pasugo (God’s Message) but he was suspended last week because of alleged involvement with controversial personality, named Antonio Ebangelista, who made blog posts about the alleged wrongdoings in INC.

The disclosure of the INC minister came just after Cristina “Teeny” Villanueva Manalo, widow of the late INC Executive Minister Eraño Manalo, and son Felix Nathaniel “Angel” Villanueva Manalo posted a video on YouTube pleading for help.
