Aspiring young singer who made a name internationally through Asia’s Got Talent, Gwyneth Dorado will be given a P10,000 talent fee for singing the Philippine National Anthem in the highly anticipated State of Nation Address of President Aquino.
Pres. Benigno Simeon Aquino III will be delivering his last SONA this coming Monday, July 27, 2015. According to Aquino administration, the young singer will be given P10,000 as talent fee and will be given a P3,000-allowance for her clothes.
House of Representatives secretary general Marilyn Barua Yap noted that expenses for physical arrangements, repair and rehabilitation of facilities, as well as preproduction itemss like publications have been integrated into the regular budget for the House.
The House of Representatives Secretary expects the total expenses for the SONA not to breach over P2.3 million.
Gwyneth Dorado made a name for herself when she was recognized internationally during the Asia’s Got Talent when she became one of the finalist. She zoomed to the grand finals of hit AXN cable channel show after getting the most number of public votes among the competitors of the first batch’s semi-finalists.
The 10-year-old Gwyneth Dorado was invited to sing “Lupang Hinirang” at the start of the joint session on July 27 by House Deputy Secretary General for Internal Audit Cecilia David.
