What is this strange light appeared during a thunderstorm over Indiana, netizens were intrigued and some of them even commented that the strange light might be the controversial HAARP, an alien spaceship refueling over the clouds but some noted that it’s just another intriguing sky phenomenon.
A strange light tornado twisting within a thunderstorm cloud over Greenwood, Indiana was spotted by a guy who caught the attention of the strange lights and recorded a video and posted it online through YouTube which went viral immediately garnering hundreds of thousands of views.
The video also got the attentions of Reddit users and became one of the most popular topic on the social bookmarking site. Although there are so many explanations about the strange light, one Reddit user explained the light as a crown flash.
Crown flash is caused by ice particles getting aligned in the same direction as the electromagnetic field created during a thunderstorm.
