Telesa Marie “Esang” de Torres who hails from Tondo, Manila joined the elite list of three-chair-turner in the country’s most popular singing competition on national TV, The Voice Kids Philippines. The 8-year-old aspiring singer wowed the judges with her rendition of “Home,” from the Broadway musical The Wiz.

Before the aspiring young singer joined the competition, she already joined a TV show, as she participated in the “Mini Me” segment of It’s Showtime as mini Lea Salonga.
Coach Lea Salonga also recognized Esang de Torres after the international Broadway star turned her chair for the kid singer. Although Lea Salonga and Esang de Torres were already familiar with each other, Coach Sarah Geronimo also noted that she will do everything for the girl to win with her team.
Coach Sarah’s attempted to convince Esang de Torres to be with her team as she showed the trophy from the previous season, reminding the young singer from Tondo, about the previous winner that came from Team Sarah.
The decision on which team to join still belongs to De Torres who opted to join Lea Salonga’s team, becoming its fifth member. Esang de Torres joins Bianca Marbella, Noah Anderson, Reynan Dal-anay and Stephanie Jordan representing Team Lea.
