The movie “Just The Way You Are,” featuring Liza Soberano and Enrique Gil, the first-ever big-screen team up of the country’s breakthrough love team. The movie debuted strongly at the box office on Wednesday earning more than P12 Million on its opening day.
The announcement was revealed by the movie’s producer Star Cinema, which announced that the box office income of the movie on its debut in over 170 cinemas nationwide breaches the P12 million mark.
The Enrique Gil and Liza Soberano movie is directed by Theodore Boborol, the movie is based on the hit novel “The Bet” which is considered as one of the popular book on Wattpad.
“Just The Way You Are,” tells about the story of a school heartthrob named Drake (Enrique Gil), who tries to make nerdy transferee, Sophia (Liza Soberano), fall in love with him to win a bet.
The top-grossing movie is a follow-up to the hugely successful tandem of Enrique Gil and Liza Soberano also known as LizQueen by their fans in the hit series “Forevermore” which dominated the ratings game for ABS-CBN and became a consistent Twitter trending topics during its primetime TV run.
The 23-year-old Enrique Gil and his love team, the 17-year-old Liza Soberano thanked those who supported their movie on its first day and calls the attentions of their fans to support and watch their first movie team up during a live interview with Aquino & Abunda Tonight on Wednesday.
