Former DTI Secretary and current DILG Secretary Mar Roxas claimed during an interview with ABS-CBN that probably, he is the strongest among the candidates in the upcoming 2016 national elections even if he did not declare yet his intention to run for a public office in the next election.

DILG Secretary Mar Roxas did not deny nor confirm that he will be running for a higher position in the year 2016 despite the fact that the filing of candidacy for the 2016 national polls is fast-approaching.
In a recent interview during the sidelines of the turnover of new police patrol jeeps in Camp Olivas in Pampanga on Wedenesday, the DILG Secretary remained coy about his plans for the 2016 elections, noting that the most important things is for the reforms made by Pres. Aquino to continue beyond 2016.
The 58-year-old Mar Roxas was quoted as saying “‘Darating at darating tayo dyan. Natutuwa nga ako na napakarami ng interesado sa ano ang ikikilos ni Mar Roxas at siguro ibig sabihin niyan na ako talaga ang pinakamatibay na kandidato dahil lahat na lang sila may komentaryo tungkol sa akin o tungkol sa gawain ko,” Roxas told reporters.
Sec. Mar Roxas is the presumptive standard-bearer of the ruling Liberal Party, he also evaded questions on his possible tandem with Senator Grace Poe, one of the few leaders who got the second highest survey ratings for the 2016 elections.
