The Marikina Valley Fault Line or the East and West Valley Fault affecting various areas of Metro Manila and neigboring cities and provinces can cause a magnitude 7.2 earthquake anytime, according to the latest data from PHIVOLCS. The government agency already released the Valley Fault System (VFS) Atlas or the East & West Valley Fault Line Map.
The Valley Fault System (VFS) Atlas, is a handbook of large-scale maps showing in detail areas traversed by the Valley Fault System. Some of the homes and buildings located in Metro Manila are on top of the dangerous fault valley system that is now ripe according to PHIVOLCS.
Copies of the atlas wwere already distributed to local government officials in the affected areas and can be downloaded online according to the government agency in-charge of the earthquakes in the country.
The VFS is an active fault system in the Greater Metro Manila Area composed of two fault segments: the 10-km-long East Valley Fault (EVF) in Rizal and the 100-km-long West Valley Fault (WVF) that runs through different cities and towns of Bulacan, Rizal, Metro Manila, Cavite and Laguna.
PHIVOLCS warned that that West Valley Fault can generate a large earthquake with 7.2 magnitude which poses threat to peoples lives, buildings and infrastructures, and livelihood, it could also cost lost of lives estimated at 37,000 and serious injuries are expected to run up to 148,000.

We’re a few kilometers away from blueridge subdivision, maybe 2 or 3. May I ask if magiging affected ba kami and gaano kalala yung impact sa’min?
