3 Philippine Finalist for Asia’s Got Talent Most Talked About Topic on Facebook

A total of four Philippine acts landed as finalists of the first-ever edition of Asia’s Got Talent held in Singapore, and out of the nine finalists, three acts from the Philippines are considered as the most talked about topic on Facebook in the past few days.

During the entire run of Asia’s Got Talent, the world’s largest networking site, Facebook provided data showing that the three finalists from the Philippines namely El Gamma Penumbra, Junior New System and classical singer Gerphil Flores dominated the conversations on Facebook.

The top three finalists received the golden buzzer of the competition. The data gathered from Facebook also revealed that fans from the Philippines and Indonesia topped the social interactions throughout the season for 57%. An total of 4.5 million people were talking on Facebook about Asia’s Got Talent, there were 7.7 million “AGT” related posts, comments and shares, and likes.

An estimated 60% of the engagements were from those ages 18-34. Aside from the Filipino shadow dance troupe, El Gamma Penumbra, teen dance troupe Junior New System and classical singer Gerphil Flores, another Filipino who made to the finals of AGT is no other than the 10-year-old Filipina singer Gwyneth Dorado.

The Asia’s Got Talent finals night will be held tonight at the Marina Bay Sands in Singapore. A few hours from now, the AGT will name its very first gand winner of the region’s most popular talent competition, the Asia’s Got Talent.

The other five finalists are from Thailand, China, Singapore, Mongolia and Japan.
