The fourth typhoon to enter the Philippines, Bagyong Dodong made a landfall over Pananapan Point in Sta. Ana, Cagayan on Sunday afternoon, May 10, 2015. According to PAGASA, Bagyong Dodong made a landfall at around 4:45 PM.
PAGASA noted that moderate to heavy rains are expected in Cagayan and Batanes, while heavy to intense rains are expected within the 150-kilometer diameter of the newest weather disturbance that hits the country.
Bagyong Dodong (international name Noul) is packing maximum sustained winds of 185 kilometers per hour (kph) near the center and gusts of up to 220 kph and moving north northwest directoin with a speed of 17 kph.
PAGASA already released their weather bulletin at around 5:00 PM in which PAGASA raised Signal No. 4 over Eastern Cagayan, Batanes, Babuyan, and Calayan Group of Islands.
Signal No. 3 is now over the rest of Cagayan, Isabela and Apayao.
Signal No, 2, meanwhile, is hoisted over Northern Aurora, Kalinga, Mt. Province, Ifugao, Ilocos Norte and Abra.
Signal No. 1, on the other hand, is raised over the rest of Aurora, Ilocos Sur and Quirino.
“Dodong” is expected to move faster on Monday morning toward the southern part of Japan. It may move out of the Philippine area of responsibility by Tuesday morning.
