The Sia and David Guetta’s song “Titanium” was one of the earliest tunes she sang in her viral YouTube videos when she was just at 8 years old. During her finals performance, Gwyneth Dorado was accompanied only by a piano, her finals performance was a big change from her bid in the semifinals.
The Grammy-winning composer, David Foster was all praises for Gwyneth Dorado right after her grand finals performance. Addressing the young singer, Foster said, “You, tonight, obviously took the advice we gave you a few weeks ago. And the true you — that’s who you are, right there, with that piano — killed it!”
Judges Anggun and Vanness Wu, who both teased that Dorados’ song choice about keeping strong despite odds and detractors was meant for Foster, similarly had good words for the Pinay’s performance.
Aside from Gwyneth Dorado, eight other acts performed in the grand finals of “Asia’s Got Talent,” including fellow Filipinos Gerphil Flores, El Gamma Penumbra and Junior New System. The winner of the first-ever Asia’s Got Talent search will be announced next Thursday.
