Prominent actor Dingdong Dantes revealed the reasons why he won’t run for public office in the upcoming 2016 national elections although he is being considered as one of the chosen few who became part of the senatorial slate of the Liberal Party (LP). The Kapuso actor categorically said he has no plans of running for any elected post.
According to the 34-year-old Dindong Dantes in an interview with Pep.Ph, he noted that he is honored to be part of the administration party’s list but has other important things in his plate as of the moment.
Dingdong Dantes was quoted as saying “Well, it’s their right to make a draft and have their initial choices. Ako, kumbaga I’m honored to be part of that list. Sino ba naman ako para malagay dun, ‘di ba? Pero nakapagdesisyon naman po ako na wala talaga sa plano ko na tumakbo in any elected post,” he said.
The actor who recently got married to fellow Kapuso star Marian Rivera stated that he wants to focus on his career while being a husband and loving father to their coming baby.
Aside from an actor, Dingdong Dantes also stated that his responsibilities as a commmissioner-at-large of the National Youth Commission (NYC).
Dingdong Dantes is one of the most popular stars who supported President Aquino during his campaign for President in the 2010 national election.
