The highly anticipated mega bout of the century featuring two of the greatest boxers in the world, Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Manny Pacquiao, proved once again that their fight is indeed the match of the century as the official tickets were sold out in less than two (2) minutes after its announcement.
According to Steve Carp of the Las Vegas Review-Journal, the estimatd 500 ouf of the 16,700 seats that were made available to the public were sold out just two minutes after the announcement of selling.
The Pacquiao vs. Mayweather fight which will be held on May 2 (May 3 Manila Time) the historica MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada range in price from $1,500 to $7,500. Although the ticket prices were clear, boxing enthusiasts expect that the tickets will be sold at much higher rates in the secondary market.
Remaining tickets in the upcoming fight of the century were controlled by the two fighters and the MGM Grand which is expected to go down as the richest ever in boxing history.
Right after the tickets were sold out, secondary ticket markets began posting seats for sale ranging from as high as $5,270.25 per seat in Section 202 to $141.575.23 for a floor seat in Section E.
