The friend of athlete and model Andrew Wolff, Rey Pamaran aired his official statement on the controversial slapping incident involving former actress Melissa Mendez on Friday. The altercation between Rey Pamaran and Melissa Mendez happened inside a Cebu Pacific flight bound for Pagadian City.
In an earlier report Melissa Mendez admitted to having been offloaded from a Cebu Pacific flight 5J711 en route to Pagadian City from Manila on Friday. Melissa Mendez reportedly slapped a fellow passenger identified as Rey Pamaran, friend of Andrew Wolff, who was slapped by the actress for allegedly “disrespecting” her.
Rey Pamaran denied the earlier statement released by Melissa Mendez during an interview with some of the country’s major news network wherein she stated that she was being disrespected by Andrew Wolff’s friend Rey Pamaran.
Melissa Mendez was quoted as saying “When I asked Andrew’s friend, he said ‘Hindi pwede. Binayaran ko ‘yan (No you can’t, I paid for that seat) I said I will not take long. Makikisuyo lang. It was when he told me, ‘Pag ‘di ka pa umalis d’yan hahampasin na kita ng bag ko sa mukha mo (If you don’t leave, I’ll slap you face using this bag).‘”
The friend of Andrew Wolff, Rey Pamaran stated that Mendez statement was not true and he stated that “Hindi po tama ‘yung sinasabi niya. Sinabi namin na upuan namin ‘yan. Sabi niya, pwede bang kayo na lang umupo sa likod. Sinabi po namin sa kanya hindi po pwede binayaran po namin ‘yung seat kasi kailangan namin ng leg room (What she said wasn’t’ right. We told her that’s our seat. She told us, is it OK if you seat at the back. We told her it’s not possible because we paid for that seat because we need some leg room),” he said in an interview with TV Patrol.
Rey Pamaran also stated earlier on his Facebook post that Melissa Mendez was politely asked to transfer to Row Two because the 1A Seat was already reserved for him and Andrew Wolff.
The businessman Rey Pamaran also stated that the actress immediately flared up and cause a big scene, shouting invectives at him and cursing him left and right until the actress was finally restrained and was made to sit her assigned seat. Rey Pamaran also added that Mendez was reeking with alcohol, got up and started shouting at him.
Aside from airing Rey Pamaran’s official statement, the businessman also said that he will file several charges against the actress, Melissa Mendez.
