Davao City stand-up comedian Daniel Aliermo was named as the Third “Ultimate Kalokalike” of the top-rating noon-time show, “It’s Showtime” on Saturday, March 14, 2015. The 31-year-old impersonator, bested 14 other grand finalists of the show’s hit celebrity look-alike segment.
The “Vice Ganda” kalokalike wowed the studio audience and those who were watching on national TV with a song and dance performance that concluded with a grand aerial stunt.
As the winner of the Kalokalike segment of It’s Showtime, Daniel Aliermo brought home P300,000 and a “special artista package.” Placing second and third to Aliermo were Katy Perry look-alike Melody Hodgson and Bruce Lee impersonator Jay Mago of Camarines Norte who won P200,000 and P100,000 respectively.
Aside from the top three winners, special awards, worth P20,000 each were also given on Saturday. The special awards were given to Rex Due who was awarded with “Picture Frame Award,” while Mark Magno received “Kumarir Award,” and Aliermo took home the “Trending Award.”
Daniel Alermo followed the footsteps of previous winners of Kalokalike such as Jonathan Garcia, or the Christopher de Leon kalokalike, and Jennifer Katayong the kalokalike of Nicki Minaj.
