Former Pussycat Dolls lead singer Nicole Scherzinger was “very happy” to learn about the history of the Philippines during her visit to the country as revealed by Apl.de.Ap of the US band Black Eyed Peas. According to Apl.de.Ap, the singer Nicole Scherzinger was touched by the Filipino kids’ smile during her visit in the Philippines.
Nicole Scherzinger, whose father is Filipino, was recently in the country as part of an awareness campaign led by the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF). During the visit of Scherzinger to the Philippines, she and Apl.de.Ap went around Intramuros in Manila with celebrity tour guide Carlos Beltran.
The Voice of the Philippines coach, Apl.de.Ap was quoted as saying “She actually texted me when she was on her way. She was like, ‘I’m going to be there. Can you show me around and can we hang out?’ I took her to Intramuros. My friend, she gave me the idea of taking her there and learn about our history. Even I was learning about our history,” he said.
Apl.de.Ap also revealed that Nicole Scherzinger is willing to join him when he visits the schools which the Apl.de.Ap Foundation helped build and the former Pussycat Dolls could even do some free shows for the kids.
